Reader Responses So Far

The reader responses so far have been a little slow but we enjoy hearing from our fellow fans anyway. We are still looking for fan fiction to add to the site to spice up some of our posts as well as fan art. So use the CONTACT US form and lets us know you have some you wish to share. Below are two emails we have received so far:

Becky Curtis
Subject: This is my sister

I was very surprised to have this site come through my email today! I miss her so desperately, and all the family is still in shock that we lost three significant members of our family in 2015, and with the holidays upon us we discover we are still grieving whole heartily. I will sign up for this site. It’s a pleasure to know how popular my sister is and her talent was unmatched to anything the family has done in life. Hard working Montanans, who love her forever.

Thank you Becky for your response. Her entire fan-base sends their condolences to the family. She will be missed.

Subject: The news

I learned today of Sandra’s passing. When she encouraged me to write, she was among the first. She generously introduced me to Jess, her agent-friend. I met with him in New York. He told me my screenplay wasn’t a screenplay. It was a book, he told me. Sometimes great advice is hard to recognize. I am forever grateful Sandra.

Thank you Jim and we look forward to and look forward to hearing more about your book once it is published.

Keep those emails coming folks. If you hear or see any updates about our favorite author’s books being published in eBook format that would be welcome news indeed.

Till next time!

Montana at Christmas

Montana at Christmas time seems like a pretty cold place to be to a Floridian like me. The pictures are very pretty but all that snow and cold really doesn’t appeal. As fans of Sandra West Prowell and her main character Phoebe Siegel we enjoy delving into her 3 novels again and again but can’t help but wish for a story or two more in the series. Sad to say there hasn’t been a lot of new interaction on the fan site and we hope to change that in the new year. Again, we invite her fellow fans to submit your fan fiction, fan art and pictures in and around Montana so that we can share them on the site.

Phoebe Siegel Series in eBook

Phoebe Siegel Series in eBook format would be really sweet. More and more of the older stories are being reformatted into eBook format of one kind or another. Of course, the biggest one is Amazon Kindle but any of the others would be pretty great as well. It would be great if one of Ms. Prowell’s relatives would approach her agent and get them to convert these stories into eBook format we could ALL get copies and enjoy once more. Sadly, these books are slowly going away and may soon become just collector’s items. The series is so great and could bring newer and younger fans if they were available electronically. Heck, even libraries are buying more and more eBooks for their patrons.

If you are a fan of Mrs. Prowell’s writings and would love to get her books in eBook format we hope you will keep badgering Amazon, Barnes and Noble and iTunes to get them converted over. If you find them somewhere let us know and we will post the great news right here!

We have changed the theme and coloring of our website. So tell all your friends and family to subscribe to our blog we endeavor to write more posts in the future but most of that depends on her many fans out there. We are always looking for fan fiction and fan art. If you write a short story featuring Phoebe Siegel we will post it here in an article about you as a writer as well as your other published works. Great deal for you with some free advertising. Artists the same goes for you as well. Just send it directly to our email in either a text document or WORD doc: jolene dot macfadden at sandrawestprowell dot info

Sandra West Prowell Has Passed Away

We were deeply sadden to receive an email from Ms. Prowell’s son, Kurt, informing us of her passing this past week.

Message from her son:I am the son of Sandra West Prowell. She left this world into a greater mystery than any one of us know. She passed away at 4 am, August 29th 2015. Her Husband Bruce Prowell preceded her on July 30th 2015.

The only obituary notice we could find in the Billings Gazette: “PROWELL — Sandra West, 71, of Billings. Cremation. Private family services to be held at a later time.”
