Summer Time Reading

Summer time is a pretty good time to get caught up on your reading. I, for one, like to re-read all of my favorite authors and series in anticipation of any upcoming books by them during the fall and winter months. Sadly, we will not be able to do that as our favorite author is no longer with us to produce any more great stories. If you don’t already own the three Phoebe Siegel mysteries you can still get them on Amazon through used book stores. Most of our local libraries have discontinued them for check out. We are still hoping to have them re-released in eBook format but the author’s family will have to make arrangements for that. If we hear anything new about that we will let you guys know.

We had to delete the bookstore page as Amazon is no longer sponsoring them so we have linked the books to the pages in order for you to buy them if you need to below. We are still trying to update each of the book’s pages with a Cast of Characters and a better synopsis for our fellow fans to enjoy. If you have one already and would like to share it please use our CONTACT US form and send it over.

When Wallflowers Die

By Evil Means

The Killing of Monday Brown

To the gentleman who sent us an email wanting to produce the books in eBook format: we are a fan site and are unable to help you with your inquiry. You will need to contact the family members to see if they are willing and/or able to proceed with that project. We haven’t heard anything from the agent or the author’s previous publisher yet but will post the information here in our news feed should there be any movement in that area.

Till next time…keep on reading….

No News But Still Looking for Fan Fiction

Montana11No News But Still Looking for Fan Fiction. Nothing new here in the last year but we are still looking for fans to send us their fan fiction. If you are a writer, not yet published writer or just an avid fan of Ms. Prowell we really could use some new material for the website. Our favorite author only published three stories, even great stories like these, will need some new material every now and then to keep the website interesting. And we all have our theories as to what happened next to our favorite character.

In the mean time we have found a couple of places to still get a copy of her books. One of them is the Open Library: “Open Library’s goal is to list every book — whether in-print or out-of-print, available at a bookstore or a library, scanned or typed in as text. In other words, we provide access to all of Project Gutenberg’s books but we have hundreds of thousands of others as well.” Of course, you can still get copies of her books, usually used, online with Amazon and their other vendors. You can sign up for a FREE account with the Open Library and most of the books available are scanned in copies in PDF eBook format but some are locked and only available to those with a “Daisy” access account with the Library of Congress.

We enjoy hearing from her fans and hope you will take some time to type up a story or two based on any one of the three stories and send them to us. The online resource Gale still has a page of information the author if you want to read through it: You may need your library card number to access the information on the link.

Where to Get Her Books

Happily her books are still available through but sadly there are only 3 books published by this author, so far. And you can find her books still on the Barnes and Noble website as well.

The three books were published back-to-back in 1995, 1996 and 1997 according to the information available on Amazon but I had read that a 4th books was supposed to be released. I found this note on the in the Burning Questions Section:

Phoebe Siegel rides again

Dear Burning Questions,
I recently discovered the Phoebe Siegel series by Sandra West Prowell, and loved all three. Are there any new books forthcoming?

via e-mail

Her publicist at Walker tells us Sandra West Prowell is in the middle of several projects, including a new Phoebe Siegel title. The fearless cop turned private investigator has appeared in three Montana mysteries, including By Evil Means and When Wallflowers Die. No publication date has been set for the new title, but you can be sure it won’t be in March. The headstrong heroine suffers from an extreme aversion to that month.

If you know when or if this new book is actually going to be published we would really like to know. I tried looking on the publisher’s website but she is no longer listed as an author with them. HELP! we need info, pics, and anything else you can provide to make this fansite a great resource for this talented author.
